As you guys all know 2009 was a successful year for us.
We played in 120 venues and on 32 festivals such as Sonar (Barcelona), Dance Valley, Valtifest and Lowlands; the third time in a row. One of the festivals we also were playing at, was Noorderslag, which was absolutely overwhelming.
The venue was so crowded that  for safety reasons no more people were given access to our show.  Following up our show at Noorderslag last year, this month we will be performing at Eurosonic.  
On January the 15^th from 23.20 till 00.00 we will be performing at the Operatent.

Expect explosion. We hope to see you there!

Last weekend we did an interview and radiomix on Studio Brussels 'Switch'. The attention we got was due to the fact that we were playing at a banging party called Breakdown (o/a Ed & Kim, Sound of Stereo, Willie Wartaal & Kill Frenzy). Listen to that radio mix here.

On a cold and rainy sundaymorning, after a night of heavy drinking, Boemklatsch and Triomf found themselves in bed together. Despite both parties claiming to have no recollection of what happened that night, nine months later DUMDUM was born. Being the lovechild of the Boemklatsch soundsystem and topshelf conceptstudio Triomf is far from an easy life, but DUMDUM pulled through and showed great potential and charisma as a child. By adolescence DUMDUM had already achieved legendary status, and upon its graduation into adulthood, we can safely say DUMDUM has reached demigod status.

Every month DUMDUM followers flock to venues like Tivoli in Utrecht to present the golden calf that is DUMDUM with their life energy. This monthly sacrificial ritual consists of a powerful combination of human sweat, alcoholic drinks and loud, raging dance music.

Rumours of this monthly Dionysian spectacle soon reached foreign lands. Internationally renowned noisemakers of the calibre of Data, MSTRKRFT, Radioclit and Stereo Heroes were invited by Boemklatsch and have made the pilgrimage to Tivoli to bestow their musical gifts on the sweating masses.

It was no surprise that word of the DUMDUM phenomena reached the scientific world in 2008. In an attempt to explain its unique appeal on young people, scientists took DNA samples from DUMDUM and injected them into several DJs. The findings of these experiments will be released as a series of sound recordings, appropriately named DUMDUM Genetics. 

The first subjects to undergo this experiment are Boemklatch and the effects of this procedure can be heard on the compact disc you are currently holding in your hands. All the music you hear on this mixtape has been performed live at DUMDUM.

On Thursday Boemklatsch is gonna be part of the Dutch Dance Night 'The Outsiders' during the international dance event Sonar in Barcalona. Other act that night on Sonar are: Le Le, Joost van Bellen and Parra Soundsystem. Who's gonna travel in or suitecases.

Bam! Boemklatsch is playing at the closing party of the European championship of bike couriers in Berlin 1st of June... That a nice city to be in during the summer.....

Boemklatsch will be playin at 2 gigs in the lovely Antwerpen. It's within a 2 hour drive so if you like an weekend rock&roll mail us for guestlist etc. See you then!
